HSE for Managers – English version now availabe on Trainingportal!
The Working Environment Act, section 3-5, obligates employers and business executives to complete HSE training. Employers are responsible for providing a good working environment and ensuring that the company adheres to the Working Environment Act. The course, HSE for Managers, specifically addresses how you, as a manager, can ensure you meet your HSE responsibilities as an employer.

Fire Prevention during Hot Work
Through the course, “Fire Prevention during Hot Work”, those performing hot work will learn what precautions take to prevent fires, as well as how to quickly extinguish any potential fires. After completing the course, participants are issued a certificate from the Norwegian Fire Prevention Association. The course will be launched during 2009Q4.

Launch of Trainingportal Magazine covering HSE&Q, Learning and Competence
- Our goal is to create a magazine that gives inspiration to the important work that is performed every day in the organization, says Mr. Chul Christian Aamodt. Aamodt will be the Editor in Chief in the new magazine.
- The new Trainingportal Magazine will support transfer of experience across the North Sea, says Mr. Aamodt. We will therefore distribute the Trainingportal Magazine both in the United Kingdom and in Norway.

Publicise Your Course Offerings in the Trainingportal Course Catalogue 2010
In 2005, 1700 course completions were registered on Trainingportal. In 2006, that number increased to over 20 300 and, in 2007, we had 46 000 course completions. As a result, we put a lot of time and energy into Trainingportal. Now, we are realising the benefits of our investment and, if our 4th quarter estimates for 2009 are accurate, Trainingportal will see more than 200 000 course completions in 2009.
We are currently in the process of putting together the course catalogue for 2010. The course catalogue will include information on both classroom courses and e-learning courses, and will be particularly aimed at:
- The Energy Industry
- The Oil and Gas Industry
- The Construction Industry
Work at Heights 2009
Høydekonferansen aims to focus on Best Practice when working at heights. Serious accidents involving fall or dropping objects are far too common in Norway as well as internationally. Our vision is to address this problem by providing an arena for exchanging ideas, sharing thoughts, and discussing solutions. We are confident that an increase in the collective competence and skills will lead to a decrease in the number of fatal accidents.

HSE Conference for Offshore Contractors 2010
The HSE Conference for Offshore Contractors is a gathering point for contractors looking to find out where health, safety, and environment developments are headed for the operators and primary contractors on the Norwegian continental shelf. Based on feedback from last year’s conference, certain topics will also address international HSE challenges. Offshore Media Group is the technical organiser, and Mintra is organising the professional content. The HSE Conference for Offshore Contractors attracts exciting presenters from the regulatory authorities, operators, and contractors. The conference is in collaboration with the Federation of Norwegian Industries.

Lovpålagt HMS-opplæring for ledere – Nå også på engelsk!
Arbeidsmiljøloven §3-5 forplikter arbeidsgiver og bedriftsledere å gjennomgå opplæring i HMS. Arbeidsgiver er ansvarlig for et godt arbeidsmiljø og at arbeidsmiljøloven følges i bedriften. I kurset ”HMS for ledere” legges det vekt på hvordan du som leder kan ivareta ditt arbeidsgiveransvar innenfor HMS. Kurset tilbys på Trainingportal, og eies av NHO-fellesskapet.

Brannvern ved utførelse av varme arbeider
Gjennom kurset ”Brannvern ved utførelse av varme arbeider” vil utøvere av varmt arbeid lære hvilke forholdsregler som må tas for å unngå brann, samt lære hvordan brann raskt kan stanses om den skulle oppstå. Etter fullført kurs utstedes et sertifikat fra Norsk Brannvernforening. Kurset lanseres i løpet av 4. kvartal 2009.

Synliggjør ditt kurstilbud i Trainingportal Kurskatalog 2010
I 2005 ble det registrert 1.700 kursgjennomføringer på Trainingportal. I 2006 ble det registrert 20.300 kursgjennomføringer, og i 2007 ble det registrert 46.000 kursgjennomføringer. Den positive veksten bidro til en storsatsning på Trainingportal. I dag ser vi gevinsten av denne satsningen, og dersom vårt estimat for 4. kvartal 2009 stemmer, vil det registreres mer enn 200.000 kursgjennomføringer på Trainingportal i 2009.
Kurskatalogen for 2010 er nå under utarbeidelse. Kurskatalogen vil inneholde informasjon om både klasseromskurs og e-læringskurs. Kurskatalogen vil rettes spesielt mot følgende bransjer:

Mintra lanserer nytt fagmagasin om HMS&K, læring og kompetanse
Mintra lanserer et nytt fagmagasin om HMS&K, læring og kompetanse i løpet av 2009 Q4.
- Vårt mål er at det nye fagmagasinet skal gi inspirasjon i det viktige arbeidet som utføres hver dag i den enkelte bedrift, forteller Chul Christian Aamodt i Mintra. Aamodt vil ha det redaksjonelle ansvaret i fagmagasinet.

Høydekonferansen har som mål å sette fokus på beste praksis innen arbeid i høyden. Fall til lavere nivå og fallende gjenstander representerer en alt for stor del av alvorlige arbeidsulykker, både i Norge og internasjonalt. Konferansens visjon er at gjennom erfaringsoverføring mellom like og ulike bransjer, så vil kompetansenivået i arbeidslivet øke.
